Spongebob. What else needs to be said.
This book is a delight to read. It has great pictures from the episode. It also has a very good novelization of the episode. The author didn't leave anything out. This makes a great companion to the DVD "Tales From The Deep" which has this episode on it.

Technics and Time 1: The Fault of Epimetheus (Meridian (Stanford, Calif.).)
Published in Paperback by Stanford Univ Pr (June, 1998)
Authors: Bernard Stiegler, Richard Beardsworth, and George Collins
Average review score:

TECHNICALITY: FAULT & DEFAULT
the technique and the time of Bernard Stiegler propose a philosophical analysis of technicality. Stiegler shows that this one is originating. If the Western culture analyzed the technique like a fault (Promotheus), it must now be seen like a defect, the defect even of the originating one. Heir to Derrida, of which he was the pupil, Stiegler starts a turning in the philosophical analysis of the destiny of the technique.

Best book on Art
It is unfortunate this book is not available. I got it at the library by chance and it is the best book on Art I've read, explaining the History of Art through the Modern era. Many books like this are boring but this book is very clear and interesting. It's a great overview of the subject with specific artists outlined within the analysis.

Tell Me a Story: Creating Bedtime Tales Your Children Will Dream on
Published in Paperback by Houghton Mifflin Co (Pap) (May, 1994)
Author: Chase Collins
Average review score:

You Can Do It! ...
...That's the message from Chase Collins, the author of Tell Me a Story.

Children NEED to hear stories, and not just from books. They especially need their parents to spend time with them. Storytelling is a wonderful way to do this, and bedtime is one of the best times for stories.

This book will help you create stories specifically for your child. In one chapter, the author provides a model to follow for story-making. Lots of other encouragement and guidance are also provided.

Please keep in mind that the model given in this book is just ONE way...one model. Wide reading of different kinds of stories will also help you in creating your own.

Try it, and have fun!

The Thin Book of 360 Feedback : A Manager's Guide
Published in Paperback by Thin Book Publishing Co. (01 August, 2000)
Author: Michelle Leduff Collins
Average review score:

Excellent Tool!!!
Michelle LeDuff Collins has written a very helpful guide on 360 feedback. This book starts with a great overview of the 360 process, followed by how to choose your raters, and then how to interpret your results. The final chapter pulls it all together by helping you to understand how to translate your results, what you have learned, into action planning. Ms. Collins also introduces Stephen, a hypothetical manager, to give the 360 Feedback process some real-world application. I highly recommend this easy to read, practical guide to any business professional responsible for delivering 360 feedback as well as to those starting the 360 process.

This Little Piggy
Published in Hardcover by Kids Can Press (October, 1997)
Author: Heather Collins
Average review score:

This Little Piggy is Great!
My son and I discovered Heather Collins' family of familiar nursery song books last year at the library, and just love the warm, sweet images. Each book features the same familiar characters--which seem to be stuffed animals come to life. One or two of the menagerie are most prominent in each book, but little ones will recognize them all. We also like Collins' "Eensy, Weensy Spider," "Rock a Bye Baby," and others. Give them a try, and sing along for more fun.

Tips to Fly by
Published in Paperback by Aviation Supplies & Academics (October, 1999)
Author: Richard L. Collins
Average review score:

Insight From Experience, Great Price..Skip the Videos
As a private pilot, I have purchased video tapes etc. from one of the more popular pilot supply houses where Mr. Collins hosts the many video titles under the vendor's name. In them he shares his long experience on the different phases of flight such as Descent and Landing, Takeoff and Initial Climb, Enroute Climb and Cruise, Other titles and topics, Multi Engine, Emergencies, High Performance Singles, Night Flying and more. This book covers the same richness of experience shared on those videos for alot less expense. The videos sell for over twenty dollars each. This book covers the same (sometimes the same verbage) material for less than the cost of one of those videos. For those who want to save a bundle of cash, benefit from the wisdom of Mr. Collins; buy this book.

To Wire the World: Perry M. Collins and the North Pacific Telegraph Expedition
Published in Hardcover by Praeger Publishers (30 October, 2000)
Author: John B. Dwyer
Average review score:

LESSONS FOR THE UNWIRED FUTURE...FROM THE WIRED PAST
We've come a long, long way since an American by the name of Perry M. Collins first envisioned a world interconnected by an overland telegraph line. That was back in the 1850s, and despite the efforts of over a decade - as well as the commercial might of Western Union - the efforts to make Perry's vision a reality were rendered obsolete by the completion of the Atlantic cable in 1866.

If the nineteenth-century transition from unwired to wired was spectacular in its social, political, and economic consequences, the twentieth-century move from wired back to unwired is proving even more remarkable. Just as a "telegraph army" was deployed by Western Union to take the overland telegraph line up to British Columbia, through modern-day Alaska, and so toward Siberia in order to connect America with Europe via Asiatic Russia, so today a wireless horde is spreading its unplugged message like wildfire in ever-decreasing circles of influence.

John Dwyer's meticulously researched book serves as a trumpet-blast for modern society's undying technical ingenuity and sheer passion for "connexity"... No one who operates in today's digital environment can fail to be fascinated by his tale of how these men surveyed, explored, and operated in dangerous - sometimes even life-threatening -environments to build the line from 1865 to 1867, only to find those risks made unnecessary by history.

Maybe those risking their capital and reputation on wireless technologies du jour like Bluetooth and WAP would do well to heed the lesson in TO WIRE THE WORLD, which is that technical vision alone isn't enough: the history of technology has also to be on your side!
